Mads + Marie wedding

When Mads and Marie invited me to their wedding during the highest heights of the pandemic, I wasn’t sure I would make it halfway across the world. The borders were closed airtight, but I optimistically booked my flight anyway. About a month before I left, the borders opened and I was miraculously on my way to Denmark. After spending the better part of two years locked into my home country, it felt incredible to be back hanging with two of my closest friends. When Mads asked me the night before the wedding to take some photos, I was happy to— chalking it up to a wedding gift for the two of them. The church was built in 1853, and the cultural history of the Danish people shone through the entire ceremony. Here are some of my favorite photos from my friends’ wedding
